The Bibliotheca classica celebrated its 30th anniversary. The programme of the meeting included a detailed account by A. K. Gavrilov of the prehistory and early years of the Bibliotheca. A. L. Verlinsky made a report on the history, originality and tasks of the Hyperborean journal, and O. V. Budaragina spoke about recent years in the history of the BiCl. F. Martinez-Casaz, N. N. Kazansky, E. V. Zheltova, V. I. Mazhuga, and D. V. Panchenko also gave welcoming speeches.
